Journal Business Model
Introduction
All readers and authors of Daengku: Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences Innovation can enjoy the benefits of free open access. We believe that free open access promotes accessibility and use throughout the world, serving the professional and scientific community as well as the wider community. Because there are no fees charged for access, Daengku offsets the cost of publication (including peer review management, journal production, online hosting, and long-term archiving) by charging Article Processing Charges (APC) to authors, institutions, or funders for each published article.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
All articles accepted after January 1, 2022, are subject to Article Processing Charges to provide free access to readers and cover the costs of peer review management, journal production, online hosting, and long-term archiving. This APC is valid for the current calendar year and may be changed at any time at the sole discretion of the publisher. The submitting author is responsible for payment of the APC and must confirm, at the time of submission, that they will organize payment should the article be accepted for publication. This responsibility may not be delegated to a third party unless agreed to by the publisher. Note: the APC will be billed after the article is Accepted and will not affect the peer review process.
For articles accepted from April 1, 2026, until 31 April 2026 (Vol. 7 No. 2, 2027):

Fast Track for Faster Review
A special service for chosen manuscripts to receive a response from reviewers as soon as possible, according to the author's needs. The author receives a response within 7 to 14 days after submission; however, this does not guarantee the paper will be accepted. This prompt response assists the author in preparing the work for publication.
Additional publication fee for this service: Rp1,000,000.
Note: as of January 1, 2022, all accepted articles are published using a "publish-as-you-go" policy — after completing the review process, an article is assigned a DOI and published online in the current issue. When the issue period ends (February, April, June, August, October, December), a new issue is activated and articles with a DOI are added until the end of that period. Accepted articles are therefore published without waiting for the issue period.
